The Maichara Sai Baba temple is nestled among beautiful landscapes of the northeastern state of Tripura. His divine idol rests in a transit town between two hubs of the southern district - Belonia and Santir Bazar.

Although Tripura is largely unexplored by tourists - it is surrounded by lush forests, vegetation, and pleasant weather. We welcome pilgrims to visit the Maichara Sai Baba temple, and enjoy exploring the beauty of Northeast India. Devotees can also visit Tripura Sundari; one of few shakti peeth, located only a 40-minute drive away

His Vision, Trust's Mission

While Late Shri. Jagadish Majumdar accomplished his goal of building the temple, his longer term vision of promoting spiritual, and religious wellbeing continues to develop.

Impactful Community Support

Utsav: People of Maichara and the neighboring villages look forward to “Utsav” every year. It is conducted by the temple during Guru Purnima, and often touted as the largest celebration in the area. Organizers set up cultural events, along with a 'mela' flooded by pop-up shops with food and games on offer!

School Supplies Drive: During the COVID pandemic, Jagadish Majumdar's granddaughter ran a school supply donation drive for children in the area. The drive helped many families in continuing their children's education in times of financial turmoil.

Skill Development: The temple premise, for it's large expanse is a great mixed-use space. Lately, skill development classes in the arts and music are being conducted, with more to come!

The Shirdi Saibaba Meditation & Worship Trust (SSMWT) which is now led by President Smt. Bandana Majumdar; continues to ensure that the trust follows principles set by Jagadish Majumdar. Which are to empower the community through spiritual well being, and spread the teachings of Shirdi Sai Baba.

The overarching mission of the trust, and the management committee here after is to ensure long-term sustenance, financial independence, and effective use of the temple premise to support holistic growth of devotees.

SSMWT's first and foremost goal is to raise an endowment fund to support daily operations, pay staff salaries, and build a corpus for maintenance and servicing as needed.
